Newly-Formed Shrewsbury Media Connection Needs Board Member
The role starts on Oct. 1, 2018, for a three year term to expire on Oct. 1, 2021.

SHREWSBURY, MA—The Board of Selectmen is currently seeking one member to fill its appointment to the newly formed Shrewsbury Media Connection, Inc., Board of Directors, following the transition of Shrewsbury Media Connection to a nonprofit organization, the board announced on Friday.
The Mission of SMC Inc., is to build community, empower individuals and ensure first amendment expression through utilization of and access to evolving communication technologies for Public, Educational and Government programming.
The role starts on Oct. 1, 2018, for a three year term to expire on Oct. 1, 2021. Meetings will occur monthly at Shrewsbury Media Connection office at 15 Parker Road. The duties of the Board of Directors is to oversee the public access center, hire the Executive Director, approve the Annual Operating Budget, set Policies and Procedures for SMC Inc., and set and implement marketing and fundraising programs.

Interested candidates must be a registered voter of Shrewsbury, 18 years or older. Financial and/or accounting experience is preferred. Please submit a letter of interest and qualifications to John Lebeaux, Chairman, Board of Selectmen, 100 Maple Avenue, or by email to selectmen@shrewsburyma.gov, no later than 4:30pm on Aug. 23, 2018.
