Police Log: Drunk Male Arrested Then Taken to Hospital
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Nov. 4
4:15 a.m.: An officer notified the Massachusetts Highway Department of an issue with the light cycle at the intersection of Route 9 and Quinsigamond.
8:00 a.m.: Officers responded with the Shrewsbury Fire Department to a report of a male with facial bleeding at the Worcester City Motel. The male had been stabbed in the neck.

8:46 a.m.: A caller reported a stove fire on Carlton Street. Officers responded with the Shrewsbury Fire Department. One woman was home but refused medical treatment.
1:47 p.m.: An officer spoke with a concerned resident about suspicious youths on Maple Avenue.

2:42 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of an unruly patron at 50 Boston Turnpike.
3:15 p.m.: A caller reported a small group of teenagers setting fires in the parks near Main Street. An officer responded and spoke to the juveniles and their parents.
3:55 p.m.: A resident of Spring Street went in to the station to report vandalism to their vehicle.
7:01 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle traveling westbound on Route 9 erratically. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested Jason Cuadrado, 37, of 11 Baker St., Apt. 2, Worcester. Cuadrado was charged with marked lanes violation, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, drunken-driving, OUI drugs, possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle and two counts of possession of a Class B substance. After being arrested, Cuadrado was taken to the hospital for evaluation and then returned to the station.
8:55 p.m.: A caller from Newton Street reported that a male just took a bottle of pills and ran out the front door. Officers responded and arrested Paul Southworth, 49, of 21 Kendrick Ave., Greenfield. Southworth was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.
11:19 p.m.: A caller reported that she was involved in a domestic assault on Elizabeth Street. Thomas Garon, 67, of 11 Elizabeth St. was arrested. He was charged with assault and battery. The woman involved was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
