Police Log: Dumpster Fires, Laser-Pointer
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Dec. 20
8:45 a.m.: A caller reported a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle in the area of 225 Boston Tpke. A report was taken, and a be on the lookout notice was issued for a black man wearing a black stocking cap, a red/orange shirt and red/orange pants, and white sneakers.
9:50 a.m.: A person went to the Police Department lobby to report identity theft.

2:09 p.m.: A person went to the Police Department lobby to report an attempted breaking and entering on Naples Street.
4:28 p.m.: A caller reported a traffic light at Boston Turnpike and South Quinsigamond was facing the wrong direction. MassHighway was advised.

4:35 p.m.: A person went to the Police Department lobby seeking advice from an officer about her son's dating relationship. Advice was given.
5:53 p.m.: Paul M. Vaudreuil, 22, of 16 Hillside St., Apt. 1, Worcester, was arrested on Boston Turnpike and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended/revoked license and having no inspection sticker.
7:01 p.m.: A one-car motor vehicle versus pole crash was reported in the parking lot at 20 Boston Tpke. The driver was taken to UMass.
Friday, Dec. 21
4:44 a.m.: Police got a call from a South Quinsigamond apartment asking officers to check on a "vibrating noise" in the basement. The noise was possibly a neighbor, the caller said. Police responded and spoke with the reporting party; everything was in order. This was an ongoing issue.
6:05 a.m.: Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on Commons Drive.
1:47 p.m.: A woman called police saying she believed she left a white Chevy Impala in the parking lot at 50 Boston Tpke. on Dec. 20. She said she was unable to locate the car. She was advised to go to the station to speak to an officer.
1:53 p.m.: Animal Control went to Upland Avenue for an ongoing issue with loose dogs.
3:56 p.m.: A caller reported two teenagers broke into the building at 25 Harrington Ave. Both took off on bikes toward Petco plaza. Units found the subjects near Chipotle and both were taken into custody. They were released to their parents after being booked on charges of breaking and entering in the daytime and defacing or damaging property.
9:16 p.m.: A three-car crash was reported in the area of 261 Grafton St. No one was injured.
9:21 p.m.: An officer came across a two-car motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Boston Turnpike and Lake Street. One driver was taken by ambulance to UMass.
10:55 p.m.: A caller said there was a person sitting in the back of a truck shining a laser pointer at oncoming traffic at Route 9 and Svenson Road.Â
Saturday, Dec. 22
12:19 a.m.: The Fire Department reported a Dumpster fire behind 50 Boston Tpke. Police logged a vehicle was reported in the area at the time of the fire.
12:25 a.m.: A loud party was reproted at Holman Street. Police responded and advised a woman.
2:02 a.m.: An anonymous caller reported a man was causing a disturbance on Childs Street. Police responded. A street sign was knocked over and a pole was damaged. The Highway Department was notified.
5:09 a.m.: Police received a report of a man walking in front of cars on Maple Avenue and yelling at passing motor vehicles. Police responded and requested a cab to take the man to his destination.
8:19 a.m.: A caller turned in a wallet found on Crescent Street. Police went to the owner's address but were unable to locate the owner. The wallet was entered into evidence.
9:04 a.m.: A past breaking and entering was reported on Clews Street.Â
10:58 a.m.: A caller requested an officer for a dispute over property damage on Clinton Street. Police reported a low lying wire connected to a security camera was taken out by a truck.
3:32 p.m.: The Fire Department responded to Artemas Avenue for an electrical issue. Electricity and water was shut off at the address and five people were displaced. The Red Cross was called.
11:55 p.m.: A passerby reported a large Dumpster fire behind the building at 50 Boston Tpke.
