Police Log: Juvenile Arrested After Assault, Icy Road Conditions

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Dec. 16

12:17 a.m.: A caller from Avalon way said that another resident had just assaulted her and her boyfriend. A juvenile was taken in to custody and charged with assault and battery.

10:34 a.m.: An officer responded to a suspicious car on Floral Street. The vehicle belonged to a soccer coach who was practicing in the area.

1:20 p.m.: A caller from a business at the White City Shopping Center reported a person begging for money in the store. The male left voluntarily after an officer spoke to him.

3:02 p.m.: A car crashed in to a stone wall on Floral Street. The driver called a tow company for the vehicle.

3:05 p.m.: Two cars were involved in a crash on Prospect Street. One person had been injured from a previous fall and no one was transported to the hospital.

3:22 p.m.: A three-car crash occurred on Main Street. One car was towed.

3:32 p.m.: Two cars were towed after they crashed into each other on Boston Turnpike.

3:34 p.m.: One vehicle was towed after it crashed on Valentine Drive.

4:25 p.m.: The State Police responded to a crash on Route 290. One person was taken to the hospital for head pain.

Monday, Dec. 17

3:46 a.m.: A caller reported crash on Lakeside Path. The Fire Department and Police Department responded but the person was already out of their vehicle and uninjured.

7:02 a.m.: A resident reported that a sheet of ice had fallen off a tractor-trailer on Route 290 and smashed their windshield.

4:50 p.m.: Shana Mcleod, 25, of 59 Manchester St., Apt. 9 Fitchburg was arrested on warrant charges.
