Shoplifter Arrested at CVS, Loose Horse on Walnut Street

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, April 24

12:23 a.m.: While conducting a security check at the Worcester City Motel. An officer arrested Matthew Williams, 21, of 43 River St., Mattapan on warrant charges stemming from a motor vehicle stop.

1:27 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Main Street and arrested Israel Mutesasira, 23, of 297 Turnpike Rd., Westborough. He was charged with drunken-driving, equipment violation and driving without an inspection sticker.

5:23 a.m.: Officers arrested Gabrielle Simmons, 25, of 494 Mariner Circle, Cotuit at CVS on a charge of shoplifting.

2:17 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a five-car crash on North Quinsigamond at Parker Road. Two vehicles were towed.

5:16 p.m.: A caller from Stop and Shop requested a well-being check on a person laying in the grass. Officers responded and an ambulance transported the person to UMass Hopsital.

6:49 p.m.: An officer assisted in returning a horse to its stable on Walnut Street.

8:40 p.m.: A caller reported several teenage males on top of the snack shack at Coolidge Elementary School. The teens were not there when an officer arrived.
