Shrewsbury School Ranked Among State's Top Elementary Schools

SHREWSBURY, MA — A Shrewsbury elementary school ranks in the top 10 in the state, according to new rankings released Tuesday by U.S. News & World Report.

Spring Street in Shrewsbury ranked No. 7 among Massachusetts elementary schools. The K to 4 school has 297 students. At Spring Street, 72% of students scored at or above the proficient level for math, and 87% scored at or above that level for reading.

The news outlet based its 2024 Best Elementary and Middle School rankings on publicly available data from the U.S. Department of Education, focusing on student proficiency in core subject areas.

The U.S. News list includes data on more than 79,000 public elementary and middle schools nationwide.
