Shrewsbury Schools Get DESE Grant For Student Career Instruction

SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury Public Schools was among the districts boosted recently by a state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education career grant.

The $25,000 award from DESE's Innovation Career Pathways Planning Grant program will allow the district to design coursework to prepare students for high-demand industries — like healthcare, engineering and life sciences.

The grant can fund hardware like computers, plus stipends for students and teachers and college and career advising, according to DESE.
