Shrewsbury Woman Arrested After Assault of Roommate

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, April 19

8:22 a.m.: A caller from Smith Lane reported a kayak they had found on the lake.

3:00 p.m.: An officer took a report of theft from Shrewsbury Crossing.

3:07 p.m.: A caller from Spring Street reported a possible break-in in progress. Officers responded but there was no indication of an attempt to gain entry.

5:37 p.m.: Officers arrested Bryan W. Jakubiak, 45, of 10 Channing St., Apt. 3, Worcester.

7:06 p.m.: A caller from Norcross Point found a kayak on the lake.

10:36 p.m.: An officer from the Shrewsbury Police Department advised partiers to quiet down on Fairlawn Circle.

Saturday, April 20

3:11 a.m.: A caller reported a female sitting on the Jersey barrier on Boston Turnpike near Lake Street. An officer called a cab to transport the woman but the cab driver refused. The officer transported the woman to UMass.

10:17 a.m.: An officer took a report of a motor vehicle break-in on at Shrewsbury Commons.

1:03 p.m.: Officers responded to a fight on Lake View Avenue. At least one person was hospitalized for their injuries. Several hours later officers were called to the same house because the pair of roommates had been fighting again. Michele Everett, 44, of 31 Lake View Ave. was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

10:00 p.m.: A caller from Casavan Avenue reported a suspicious male sitting in her backyard. When officers responded the man ran in to the woods and was not found.

Sunday, April 21

10:20 a.m.: A caller from Violette Circle reported that her car had been stolen.

11:09 a.m.: Officers assisted the Shrewsbury Fire Department with a fire near Gordon Avenue.

12:50 p.m.: One person was hospitalized after a two-car crash on Svenson Road. One car was also towed.

6:33 p.m.: An officer enforced traffic regulations on Old Mill Road.
