Two Shrewsbury Residents Charged With Assault and Battery

Wednesday, March 13

12:22 a.m.: Officers from the Shrewsbury Police Department arrested Jonathan Muir Winn, 22, of 36 Toblin Hill Dr. at his house on charges of assault and battery.

7:28 a.m.: A caller from O’Donnell avenue reported a domestic incident between her children and her daughter’s boyfriend. An officer responded and took a report.

4:18 p.m.: An officer responded to a male soliciting in the median on Boston Turnpike near South Quinsigamond Avenue.

5:35 p.m.: Officers arrested John Edward Evans, 56, of 177 Crescent St. at the Worcester City Motel and charged him with assault and battery.

6:32 p.m.: A caller from Browne Road reported a break-in. An officer responded and took a report.

6:42 p.m.: An officer spoke to a man who was causing a disturbance and throwing items at passing vehicles on Maple Avenue.

Thursday, March 14

12:14 a.m.: Officers arrested Joseph Belculfine, 53, of 36 North Quinsigamond Ave., was arrested on warrant charges ofdisorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, speeding, operating with an expired inspection, operating with a suspended license, drunken-driving and reckless operation.
