5 Things To Do In Boston This Weekend: Tower of Power, Asian Film Festival

1.) TOWER OF POWER: Get your urban soul on when Tower of Power plays the Wilbur Theatre, Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40-$75.
Take the Orange Line to Chinatown Station and walk 5 minutes to the theater. Or, take the Red Line to Park Street, and walk 8 mintes to the theater.

2.) ROMEO AND JULIET: The Boston Ballet performs this classic at the Boston Opera HouseFriday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets are $25-$135.
Take the Orange Line to Downtown Crossing Station and walk 3 minutes to the Opera House. Or, take the Red Line to Downtown Crossing, and follow the directions above.

3.) BOSTON ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL: Several theaters in Boston and surrounding areas are hosting this over the weekend, including AMC Lowes Theater at 175 Tremont St. and the Paramount Center, 559 Washington St. Ticket packages are available online. 
Take the Orange Line to Chinatown Station and walk 3 minutes to the Lowes Theater or walk 2 minutes to the Paramount. Or, take the Red Line to Park Street (and walk 5 minutes to Lowes Theater), or the Red Line to Downtown Crossing (and walk 3 minutes to the Paramount).

4.) MACBETH: Guiseppe Verde's interpretation of Shakespeare's classic is reinterpreted into asinister, even ghoulish, opera using 1930s imagery. Shows on Friday and Sunday this weekend.

5.) COCKTAIL PARTY AT HOUSE OF BLUES: The Greater Boston Beverage Society presents "Shakin It Up" a party featuring cocktail samples, appetizers, live music and a bartender competition. On Sunday at 5 p.m. Tickets $40.
Take the Orange Line to Mass. Ave. Station and walk 18 minutes to the House of Blues. Or, take the Red Line to the Green Line, and walk 8 minutes to the House of Blues.
