Assaults, Drugs, And Robberies: Somerville Crime Log

SOMERVILLE, MA — The Somerville Police Department received the following reports between Tuesday, Aug. 12 and Monday, Aug. 18.

Tuesday, Aug. 12

7:56 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a weapon on Bromfield Road. A woman reported being shot with an airsoft gun by someone driving by in a car on Warner Street. The person was eventually identified.
8:43 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a robbery at Cambridge Hospital. The victim reported being attacked by two men in Davis Square after they demanded money from him. The men were eventually identified.

Thursday, Aug. 14

11:20 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at a residence on Adam Street. A resident reported the glass door to his apartment was broken but nothing appeared to be missing.
3:41 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering at a residence on Flint Street. The resident reported a man entered her shed and stole a tool.

Friday, Aug. 15

8:37 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at a residence on Evergreen Avenue. The resident claimed the front door ot his apartment was kicked in but nothing was reported missing.
6:36 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a past assault in Davis Square. The woman reported a man smashing a glass bottle on the ground and cutting her child.

Saturday, Aug. 16

2:33 p.m. — Police responded to a report of larceny at a business in Assembly Row. An employee reported a man entering the store, stealing several items as well as pushing and throwing things at her.

Sunday, Aug. 17

4:52 a.m. — Police responded to a report of an assault at an apartment complex on Broadway. A resident claimed he was attacked by four women and two men while smoking a cigarette in his basement.

Monday, Aug. 18

11:44 a.m. — Police responded to a report of drugs in a hotel on Somerville Avenue. A housekeeper reported finding drugs in a hotel room. Officers recovered 48 grams of methamphetamine and 14 grams of crack cocaine. Two residents of the room were placed under arrest.
