According to Bob’s Chief Brand Officer Stephen Nesle, the new store is the first to include the company’s Plushies For Charity initiative, in which Bob’s donates $5 to the Somerville Homeless Coalition for every Bob plush toy purchased. Nesle described the new store as an example of the company giving back to communities it has locations in.
Bob’s was founded in 1991 with its first location in Manchester, Connecticut. It has since expanded with nearly 200 stores throughout 24 states.
