Counterfeiter Tries Exchanging Bogus $100 Bills at Assembly Row, Say Police
Said A. Janale, of Boston, was arrested at A.C. Moore.

Somerville Police picked up a suspect they say was tricking cashiers into breaking fake $100 bills at the Assembly Row Mall.
On Friday, May 8, Said Janale, 29, of Boston, was spotted entering and leaving multiple Assembly Row stores in a noticeable hurry.
A nearby police officer recognized Janale from prior encounters, and discovered a warrant for his arrest had been issued out of Hingham.

Officers followed Janale into A.C. Moore, and caught him buying a pair of headphones valued at less than $2 with a bogus $100 bill, thereby receiving approximately $98 in real money in change.
Four similar bills were discovered in the front pocket of Janale’s sweatshirt, according to police.

Consequently, Janale has been charged with rendering counterfeit cash.
