Dakzen Team Opening Second Restaurant In Somerville

SOMERVILLE, MA — The team behind a popular Thai street food spot in Davis Square is bringing another restaurant to Somerville.

Jakingrass, a sibling to Dakzen, is currently in development on Elm Street, Eater reported. Dakzen's chief executive officer told the site the restaurant will serve Asian fusion dishes that offer "a new generation of authentic Asian street foods."

Dakzen opened in 2018 and quickly made Boston Magazine's "Best Of" list. The restaurant's ownership team is also reportedly bringing a Thai food spot to Arlington.

Jakingrass does not have an official opening date, as it is still in the permitting process. It will be located at 54 Elm Street.
