Five Things: Black Ink Closing Reception, Music
Five things to know and do in and around Somerville today.

1) In this exhibit, nearly 20 artists show how "blank ink transforms paper through the varied processes of printmaking." Tonight is the closing reception. It takes place at the relatively new Nave Gallery Annex in Davis Square at 6 p.m.
2) Andrew Scandal at Precinct
Local Andrew Scandal and a host of other musicians perform at Precinct tonight. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. and goes late.
3) Chiara String Quartet
If you feel like heading over to Harvard, the Chiara Quartet will be performing Debussy, Ravel and Dutilleux’s Ainsi la Nuit. It's at John Knowles Paine Concert Hall at 8 p.m. It's free and open to the public, but you'll need a pass.

4) WEEI in Watertown
From the listing: "Join WEEI from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and test your jump shot in Pop-A-Shot to qualify for a chance to take a half court shot for 50K at an upcoming Celtics game." It's at Miller's Ale House at 617 Arsenal St.
