• MA woman dies in freeway crash (vermontdailychronicle.com) — Two Somerville residents were involved in a deadly single-car crash on I‑89 in Bolton, Vermont, when their vehicle swerved to avoid a tractor-trailer and hit a tree. The driver, a 61-year-old Somerville man, suffered minor injuries, while his 62-year-old passenger, also from Somerville, later died at the hospital. Vermont State Police are still investigating the incident.

• GoFundMe launched for family of Boston cartoonist Dan Moynihan (downthetubes.net) — A Boston cartoonist and illustrator with ties to Somerville publisher Candlewick Press has died suddenly, leaving behind his wife and young son. His work ranged from children’s books and webcomics to teaching art classes, and friends remember his joyful, encouraging approach to creativity. A GoFundMe has been launched to help support his family during this difficult transition.
