1) The Green Line is Coming! Rally and Press Conference for Somerville Jobs
Somerville Community Corporation is planning a rally in Boston to advocate for local jobs as the Green Line Extension moves ahead. The rally will take place at 12 p.m. before the MassDOT board of directors meeting. You can meet at Somerville Community Corporation at 11 a.m. to travel to Boston with the group, or you can meet at the Transportation Building in Boston, 10 Park Plaza, at 12 p.m.

2) May 2013 Somerville Salon: Citizen Journalism
From the listing: "What happens when citizens start doing their own investigating? Join the Somerville Arts Council on May 22nd, as we learn about citizen journalism from three citizen journalists." Barry Rafkind and Eileen Feldman will talk about their experience with SomervilleVoices.org and Jason Pramas will talk about Open Media Boston. It's at 7:30 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.

4) Kindergarten Transition Day
Incoming kindergarten students and their families will have the chance to visit their new school and classroom and meet their new teacher. It takes place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Somerville's public elementary schools.
