1) Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl
All you can eat ice cream on City Hall Plaza in Boston to benefit the Jimmy Fund. The ice cream eating takes place from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
2) SCC New Members' Open House
An open house for people interested in becoming members of the Somerville Community Corporation. It's at the organization's office at 337 Somerville Ave.
3) Deaf Student Performs with the Boston Landmarks Orchestra
Chloe Jean Pierre of Somerville recently participated in a Boston Landmarks Orchestra performance at the Strand Theatre in Dorchester. Pierre is a student Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Well done.

4) College Prep
According to this announcement, "Let's Get Ready is a non-profit organization that provides free tutoring and college preparation advice to college bound high school students, many of whom are low-income and first generation students." It's offering classes at St. Clement's School, just across the border in Medford.
