Free Friday at Children's Museum, Franklin Park Zoo, Arnold Arboretum

Five things to know and do in and around Somerville today.

1) Free Entrance to Cool Places
As part of the Fun Free Fridays program, families can visit several cool places around Boston for free today. For instance, you can visit the Boston Children’s MuseumFranklin Park Zoo and the Arnold Arboretum. Click on those links to read more.

2) Running To End Strokes

Somerville resident Carly Papish will be running the Falmouth Road Race on Aug. 11 as part of Tedy’s Team, named after former Patriots player Tedy Bruschi, who suffered from a stroke. She's running to support the American Stroke Association, and you can visit her race profile here.

3) School Supply Donations
Citizens Bank is accepting donations of school supplies through Aug. 9, according to an email from the bank. It's part of the bank's "Gear for Grades" program.

4) Local Bank Gets Mobile Banking
CPCU Credit Union now has mobile banking, according to an email from the bank. You can now manage your accounts from your smart phone or tablet. Learn more at www.cpcu.org.
