Gunshot Fired During Somerville Home Invasion

Police said a person was arrested after breaking into a man's apartment and threatening him at gunpoint.

SOMERVILLE, MA — One person was arrested following a home invasion in Somerville that resulted in a gunshot being fired, police said.

The victim, a resident of Perkins Street, told police the suspect came into his apartment around 12:20 a.m. on Jan. 17, pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him. The suspect then hit the victim with the gun, causing it to fire a shot through a window, police said.

Officers seized a loaded gun and two loaded large-capacity magazines. Police did not identify the suspect by name.
