Hot Off the T: 3 Things To Do in Boston Today

Restaurant Week begins; My Morning Jacket performs; and buy something big without paying taxes.

(All events are in walking distance from Orange Line, Red Line and Green Line stops on the MBTA.)

1) MY MORNING JACKET AT THE PAVILLIONTickets are still available to see this band which has been compared to Neil Young, the Allman Brothers and even the Who. At the Bank of America Pavillion on Sunday at 7 p.m. Take the Orange Line to State Street Station and walk 30 minutes (along the beautiful waterfront) to the Pavillion. Or, take the Red Line to South Station and walk about 20 minutes to the Pavillion.

2) BOSTON RESTAURANT WEEK : Fixed priced meals at some of Boston's best restaurants start on Sunday. View the restaurant list here and then plot your T adventure using Google maps.

3) SHOP TILL YOU DROP: The state's tax holiday is being held this weekend so head over to the  in the Back Bay and pay no taxes on items costing under $2,500. Check out the full rules and regulations . Take the Orange Line to Back Bay Station and then walk 5 minutes to the Copley Place Mall. Or, take the Red Line to the Green Line, then get off at Copley Station and walk about 6 minutes to the mall.
