The 2015 MCAS scores are out. Somerville High School students placed among the top 100 schools in Massachusetts. The city ranks 95th among 291 school districts with 90% of 10th-grade students scoring proficient of advanced on the annual standardized test.Somerville ranked 262nd in the state for the English Language Arts portion of the test. 85% of students earned either proficient or advanced.The city ranked 241st in the state for the Math portion of the test. 73% of students earned either proficient or advanced.And finally, Somerville ranked 205th in the state for the Science portion of the test. 70% of students earned either proficient or advanced.Between the three sections, 52% of students earned a needs improvement grade. 21% scored within the warning/failing area.
