Mayor to Present Budget Proposal Tuesday

The public is invited to attend Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone's budget presentation.

On Tuesday, Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone is scheduled to present a proposed municipal budget for fiscal year 2014.

The mayor's presentation to the Somerville Board of Aldermen will likely outline spending priorities and cover strategies for dealing with any budget gaps that might exist, although in fiscal year 2013 there were no gaps.

Somerville's fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30, and the Somerville Board of Aldermen's finance committee will review the mayor's proposal throughout June.
