SOMERVILLE, MA — Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan will be speaking before the City Council later this week on the topic of two unsolved murders in town.

In March, the City Council introduced a resolution calling for re-investigations into the murders of Deanna Cremin and Charline Rosemond. The women were found dead in 1995 and 2009 respectively. Ryan is slated to provide an update on the cases to the community during the council’s upcoming meeting on Thursday, April 10.

City Councilor Jesse Clingan, who co-sponsored the resolution, expressed how Ryan’s presence will give the victims’ families and the rest of Somerville confidence that justice may one day be served.
Rosemond’s family is planning a balloon release on Sunday, April 13 behind 10 Webster Ave. where she was initially found. Cremin’s family recently held a mass service and walk for her on March 30.
