What's more, the blogger says the rats are a new problem in his neighborhood, the Medford Hillside near Somerville. He thinks construction on the Harvard Street bridge, part of the initial work on the Green Line Extension, might be to blame. He also wonders if rats are wandering into Medford from Davis Square. One commenter thinks the problem began with the 2011 Fast14 bridge project. Meanwhile, the rat problem doesn't seem to be going away in Somerville, at least based on some emails received by Somerville Patch. Is the rat problem getting worse, or has it always been thus?
