Want To Run For Local Office? Nomination Papers Available Now In Somerville

All nomination papers must be received by the Board of Election Commissioners by 5 p.m. on June 7.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Somerville community members interested in running for local office can now pick up nomination papers for the office of mayor, councilor at large, and school committee.

To start the process, community members are asked to make an appointment with the election department to take out nomination papers – and don’t forget to schedule a separate appointment to return them!

Appointments are available beginning on May 1 through June 7. The deadline to take out nomination papers is June 5 at 5 p.m., and all nomination papers must be received by the board of election commissioners by 5 p.m. on June 7.
