Obituary: 'Bobby' Quinn, 57, Somerville Firefighter

Robert F. Quinn, “Bobby,” 57, of Tewksbury, was born and raised in Somerville.

Quinn, a firefighter and EMT for the City of Somerville, passed away suddenly on October 4, 2015.

Beloved husband of 29 years to Monika A. (Rudowska) Quinn. Son of the late Walter and Mary Quinn.
Brother and best friend of Jay Quinn and his wife Diane of Somerville, Michael Quinn of Tewksbury and the late Stephen Quinn.

Also survived by his 3 devoted and loving dogs Bailey, Willow and Sierra. Dear uncle of Joey, Patrick, Katelyn, and Sydney.

He leaves behind many extended relatives and friends along with his beloved brothers of the Somerville Fire Dept, especially Rescue 1.

Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville Friday morning at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, Somerville at 10:00 am.

Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours Thursday 2-8 pm. Interment is private. A Uniform Member Walk through will commence at 3:30 pm.

Mr. Quinn was a Graduate of Malden Catholic High School Class of 1976. He received his Bachelors degree from U-Mass Boston in 1981 and was a 26 year veteran of the City of Somerville Fire Dept. He loved his family and friends deeply and was also an advocate and lover of animals.
