Several men were outside the home, one of them drunk and belligerent, but when officers went upstairs, they found about fifteen people separated into two groups, the report says.

While an officer was speaking to the alleged victim, who said she had been struck in the face, Alicia Alana, 58, of 39 Sargent Ave., pushed past the officer and grabbed the victim by the throat, according to the report.

The report says the officer handcuffed Alana, and at that point Alana's daughter, Milady Maraidiaga, 33, also of 39 Sargent Ave., kicked one of the officers in the shin in an attempt to free her mother.

Police handcuffed her, too.

The victim also said Martha Rosa, 30, of 142 Albion St., also struck her in the face.

Police arrested Rosa and charged her with assault and battery. Alana was also charged with assault and battery. Maraidiaga was charged with assault and battery on a police officer.
