Robotics After School Program for Somerville Students

Students will use mathematics and imagination to build their own robots.

SOMERVILLE, MA - Do you have a budding robotics engineer in sixth thought eighth grade? Here is their chance to learn all about robotics and potentially even jump-start their future careers.

The "First" after school robotics program will now be available at the Argenziano, East Somerville, Kennedy and Winter Hill Schools. Deadline to register is Friday.

"With adult Coaches to guide them, FIRST® LEGO® League teams (up to 10 members) apply science, engineering, and math concepts, plus a big dose of imagination, to develop solutions to real-world challenges. They also design, build, and program LEGO MINDSTORMS®-based robots to perform autonomous 'missions' on a playing field. Along the way, they develop critical thinking, team-building, and presentation skills, "First" wrote in the program description on its website.
