Somerville Board In Need Of New Members

The Condominium Review is soliciting for applications.

SOMERVILLE, MA — The city’s Condominium Review Board is in need of two members.

The board’s main responsibility is to administer Somerville’s Condominium Conversion Ordinance, which governs over any potential conversions of rental units to condominium units as well as rehabilitation of existing rental units.

Interested residents have until Tuesday, Feb. 18 to apply. Resumes and cover letters can either be emailed to condoboard@somervillema.gov or physically mailed to the board’s City Staff Liaison Morena Zelaya on 50 Evergreen Ave.

The term-length for a CRB member is three years, and the group meets the fourth Monday of every month. According to the city, membership requires between five to seven hours of time dedicated per month.

The two new members will be appointed by Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, and later confirmed by the city council. Appointment includes a monthly stipend of $300.
