The brewery came in third place for the production of its Samuel Adams Summer Ale
SOMERVILLE, MA — Boston Beer Company took home the third place award from the 2025 World Beer Cup in the Fruit Wheat Beer category for its Samuel Adams Summer Ale.
The World Beer Cup is an annual international competition organized by the Brewers Association, in which its 272 judges award up to three breweries for its more than 100 categories. The nonprofit organization began the competition in 1996 with the goal of raising consumer awareness about the diversity and variety of beer.
Founded in 1984, The Boston Beer Company is the fourth-largest brewery in the country.
The other award-winner in Massachusetts for 2025 is Lost Shoe Brewing and Roasting Company in Marlborough, which was awarded the “Gold” prize for its Size 6 beer in the Belgian-Syle Dubbel category.
