Somerville Library to Host 'Cryptoparty' For Online Privacy

SOMERVILLE, MA - The Somerville Public Library will host an online privacy workshop and cryptoparty Saturday, July 16 at 12:00p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

"Too many people assume they have to give up their privacy to use the Internet. That's not true," a release said. "Online privacy activist and Massachusetts Pirate James O'Keefe will teach you about apps that encrypt your text messaging, browser add-ons that block tracking software, a search engine that doesn't record your search."
