Rufo-Sanon was among the passengers in a car that pulled up to the 7-Eleven that night, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office. Surveillance video showed Matthews communicating with the men in the car before Rufo-Sanon fired a gun, fatally striking him, investigators say.

The car fled the scene and was later found at a home in Somerville, investigators say.
