Somerville Man in 'Life-Threatening Condition' After Cape Cod Fishing Incident
Police were not releasing the man's name, and the incident was still under investigation as of Monday afternoon.

The Massachusetts Environmental Police have confirmed a 69-year-old Somerville man was taken to the hospital after a weekend fishing incident in Falmouth, on Cape Cod.
Reggie Zimmerman, a spokesperson for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, which oversees the Environmental Police, said Monday the matter was still under investigation.
Environmental Police were handling the case because it was boating related, according to the Cape Cod Times.

Due to the ongoing investigation, Environmental Police were not releasing the man's name or his current medical status, Zimmerman said.
The Cape Cod Times reported the Somerville man was in life-threatening condition after getting pulled from the water Sunday morning off Megansett Harbor in North Falmouth.

Zimmerman said Falmouth Police got a call about the incident at around 6:30 a.m. and that the Somerville man had been in an inflatable boat. "He was not wearing a lifejacket at the time," Zimmerman said.
Cape Cod Times reported the man had been fishing with a companion, who was also taken to Falmouth Hospital but was not in life-threatening condition.
