Somerville Mayor Katjana Ballantyne Gives State Of The City On Tuesday
The mayor will speak Tuesday evening during the city's Mid-Term Ceremonies and Addresses at City Hall.

SOMERVILLE, MA — Somerville Mayor Katjana Ballantyne will deliver the State of the City address on Tuesday.
The speech will be part of the city's Mid-Term Ceremonies and Addresses scheduled for 6 p.m. on at the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 93 Highland Ave.
According to the City, Ballantyne will reflect on her first year in office, talk about the initiatives impacting the community, and offer plans for the coming year.

The event also will feature speeches by the incoming city council president and incoming school committee chair, both of whom will reflect on the last year and look ahead to 2023.
The city council president and school committee chair will be chosen officially at organizational meetings that take place prior to the mid-term addresses, according to the City.

Somerville community members are encouraged to attend the event at City Hall, where a reception with light refreshments will immediately follow the official ceremony and speeches.
There also will be opportunities to watch the ceremony and speeches on television and online.
The event will be streamed live on Somerville's cable and educational access television stations and on the City of Somerville website. The following day, the speeches will be posted on the Somerville GovTV YouTube channel.
