Somerville Non-Profits Among 'Row It Forward' Winners
The Alex Foster Foundation and OnStage Dance Company were among three non-profits to split a prize of $35,000.

The Alex Foster Foundation and OnStage Dance Company, both of Somerville, recently placed among the top three at Assembly Row’s “Row It Forward” giving program.
The second annual event took place from Aug. 10-23. It paired shopping, dining and giving over two fun, competitive weeks. Receipts translated into points for the participating non-profits.

The Alex Foster Foundation, which was started in honor of a heroin overdose victim, finished second place in the event and earned $10,000.
The OnStage Dance Company earned a third place finish and was awarded $5,000.

The Brook Elementary School PTO, of Medford, captured the top prize of $20,000.
