The shelter, located at the Armory building at 191 Highland Ave., is for those experiencing homelessness, and will be open Tuesday night starting at 6 p.m. until Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. Walk-ins are welcome at any time and accommodations for guests' pets are available, according to a news release. Direct outreach to unhoused people is currently being conducted. The City has urged people to call 911 if they see a person experiencing homelessness outside or sheltering in a car during this nor'easter.
