Somerville Police Arrest Drunk Driver Found Asleep in Car
Christine Boireau was found asleep, drunk and parked in the middle of Webster Road, according to Somerville Police.

Police in Somerville recently arrested a repeat drunk driving offender after finding a Cambridge woman asleep in her car and parked in the middle of the roadway.
Christine Boireau, of Cambridge, was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol on Sept. 24. The incident marked her second offense.
An officer on patrol on Webster Road spotted a vehicle parked in the middle of the street with its hazard lights on. Initially, police did not see anybody inside the vehicle.

When police returned to the area a short-while later, the vehicle had not moved and the lights were still blinking. The officer took a closer look inside the vehicle and found a woman asleep in the driver’s seat.
The officer repeatedly knocked on the car door, but Boireau would not wake up. She woke up after the officer opened the driver’s side door.

Police said Boireau smelled of booze and failed an issued sobriety test.
