Somerville Police Looking For Suspect In Reported Armed Robbery
Police have circulated a security camera photo of the suspect who allegedly brandished a gun and took money from an East Somerville store.

SOMERVILLE, MA — The Somerville Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a reported armed robbery that took place at an East Somerville business on Saturday.
A photo of the suspect captured by a security camera was posted on social media.
According to police reports, at approximately 10:20 a.m. Saturday, Somerville police responded to the business after a report of an armed robbery and indecent assault.

At the scene, Somerville police officers met with the store clerk, who told them that she initially had seen the suspect pacing back and forth outside the store and looking into the store window, police said.
Moments later, the suspect entered the store and displayed a handgun during the robbery, the victim said. The clerk said she gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect fled on foot, according to the Somerville PD.

Somerville Police Chief Charles Femino said the department is actively investigating the incident.
"Police will be diligent in their investigative efforts to identify, apprehend, and prosecute whoever is responsible for this incident," Femino said.
