Somerville Police Warn Of Break-Ins Over Holidays

SOMERVILLE, MA — The Somerville Police Department is warning residents to take steps to prevent break-ins if they are going on vacation this holiday season.

Police shared the following tips for keeping your home and valuables safe:

• Store valuables out of sight.
• Ensure all common doors lock and remain locked at all times (include back hallway and garage doors).
• Registration of electronic devices in addition to any home security system/video surveillance.
• Set up automatic timers for lights while you are away on vacation.
