Somerville Pub ‘The Thirsty Scholar’ Debuts Football Season Menu

SOMERVILLE, MA — The Thirsty Scholar, Somerville’s neighborhood pub famous for making a special guest appearance in the 2011 blockbuster hit, “The Social Network,” is ramping up for football season by debuting a specialty menu of tailgate-style snacks.

Available whenever there is a televised pro or college football game, these munchies are available on their own or paired with one or two pitchers of beer for $15 or $30, respectively.

“Football Gives Me Wings” comes with seven wings for $14, 15 for $25 or 30 for $42 with a choice of buffalo, house BBQ or sweet slap sauces.

There also is a Sampler Platter for $35 filled with game day essentials, including a half-dozen each of wings, tenders, and mozzarella sticks, in addition to a trio of steak eggrolls.
