Somerville Resident Sworn In As New Assistant District Attorney
Maryrose Robson is one of eight new assistant district attorneys in Middlesex County.

SOMERVILLE, MA — A Somerville woman is among the newest class of assistant district attorneys in Middlesex County. Maryrose Robson was sworn in virtually Jan. 15.
The class consists of seven recently graduated lawyers and one special assistant district attorney from the law firm WilmerHale. They participated in the Middlesex New Prosecutors Orientation and Training Program, which teaches crime prevention and intervention initiatives such as restorative justice, pre-arraignment diversion, juvenile court and community policing.
The training also included discussions with prosecutors, defense attorneys, paralegals and victim-witness advocates about systemic racism, bail policy, community impacts on law enforcement and criminal law.
