Somerville Restaurant Closed By Board Of Health

The Davis Square edition of this Hawaiian chain has recently shut down under unclear circumstances.

SOMERVILLE, MA — The city’s Pokeworks has been closed by the city’s Board of Health.

The Hawaiian eatery on 261 Elm St. can be found with a sign on its front door stating “ Closed by the Board of Health.” According to the restaurant chain’s website, the Davis Square location is classified as “temporarily closed.” The restaurant’s Yelp page gives a reopening date of Jan. 5, 2026.

Pokeworks has multiple other Boston-area locations, with its newest one slated to be coming to the Cambridge Mall.
