Somerville Sees Low Voter Turnout on Quiet Election Day
Voters did elect a new alderman and two new school committee members Tuesday.

Somerville’s 2015 Municipal Election has come and gone, with just 14 percent of the 46,000 registered voters casting ballots Tuesday.
Each of Somerville’s incumbent candidates for alderman and school committee were re-elected. However, the race for alderman in Ward 6 garnered attention. Lance Davis and Elizabeth Weinbloom ran opposite one another, with Davis comfortably earning a victory.
Sean Fitzgerald lost his bid in the alderman-at-large race. Incumbents Jack Connolly, Mary Jo Rosetti, Bill White and Dennis Sullivan held onto their positions.
