Somerville Shoplifter Tries to Pay After Caught: Police

Pellot-Cintron allegedly told police he "was just being stupid" and was willing to pay for the items.

A man with a box cutter knife was arrested at Kmart May 22, police said.

Jerome Pellot-Cintron, of 168 Seaver St., Dorchester, was charged with shoplifting over $100. Kmart employees allegedly observed Pellot-Cintron take tools out of a tool set and place them in his pocket. Police also found three pairs of gloves and a charger in Pellot-Cintron’s pockets.

Pellot-Cintron allegedly told police he “was just being stupid” and was willing to pay for the items. He was arrested.
