Somerville Soccer Player Invited To Esteemed U.S. Soccer Showcase
Two dozen New England Revolution Academy players received invitations to the single-day United States Soccer Talent Identification Center

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A number of young Massachusetts soccer players with the New England Revolution Academy were offered an esteemed invitation to show off their skills to evaluators.
Team officials said 25 New England Revolution Academy players received invitations to the single-day United States Soccer Talent Identification Center on Wednesday, hosted by U.S. Soccer Talent ID Manager Rob Irvine alongside Youth National Team Network Scouts Brad Agoos, Kylie Stannard and Bryan Harkin.
Thirteen players from the Revs Academy Under-15 team were invited to the event, including Somerville's Cristiano Oliveira.

Oliveira finished second on the Revolution U-15s with six goals during the 2022 MLS NEXT Fall season.
"We're incredibly proud of our players for receiving well-earned invitations to this program," Revolution Director of Youth Development Rob Becerra said.

Becerra added: "To have 25 Revolution Academy players selected speaks volumes to the talent within our Academy program, which is growing every day. We're excited for our players to continue earning these opportunities."
According to officials, the process is designed to identify and evaluate top talent for Youth National Teams, and aims to accelerate player development in a "challenging environment."
