Somerville Stop & Shop Celebrates Grand Opening Of Remodeled Store

SOMERVILLE, MA — On Friday, Stop & Shop unveiled its newly remodeled store at 779 McGrath Highway in Somerville.

The changes made to the store are centered around delivering fresh, healthy, and convenient options that make grocery shopping easier for local customers, said the company.

New features at the Somerville store include updated produce, seafood, and meat departments, a new hot flatbread pizza section, fresh sushi made in-store daily, and a remodeled bakery featuring a wide variety of breads, sweets, and cakes. The new store also has a remodeled self-checkout area.

“We’re excited to offer an even bigger selection of fresh produce, bakery items and ready to eat flatbread pizzas and fresh sushi for customers looking for on-the-go options at a great value, Andy McPhee, Store Manager of the Somerville Stop & Shop, said in a statement.

The remodeled Somerville store continues to offer Same Day Pickup. Customers new to Pickup can receive the service free for 90 days by entering SSFREEPICKUP at checkout.
