Somerville Women Arrested in Prostitution Sting

Police in Somerville arrested two women on prostitution charges after an undercover officer learned of an illegal massage service at a home on Perkins Street.

Yi Ping Li, 48, was charged with knowingly allowing a house of prostitution. Huayang Gou, 46, was charged with offering sexual conduct for a fee.

The two were running the “full service” operation out of a home at 153 Perkins Street in East Somerville, police said.

On Oct. 14, an undercover officer visited the home seeking services. The officer, who was wearing a wire, was offered a massage that would provide “everything” for $160. At that point, the officer signaled for backup.

Officers standing by outside entered the home, announced their presence and arrested the two women. The women told investigators that they were living in the apartment as roommates.
