Somerville's Preliminary Election Drawing Near

The City of Somerville will be holding a preliminary election for Ward 6 voters on Thursday, September 17.

The polls will be open to voters from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. to reduce what is a four-way race for Ward 6 alderman to just two contestants ahead of the final election on Nov. 3.

Candidates Lance Davis, Charles Chisholm, David Lieberman, and Elizabeth Sara Weinbloom, are all vying to replace departing incumbent Rebekah Gewirtz.

Three of the four candidates have never held office. Chisholm is a former school committee member.
