Somerville's Union Square to Host World Food Fests All Summer
Union Square hosts pop-up chefs from the city's immigrant community sharing their best dishes.

SOMERVILLE, MA - This summer, Union Square might have the best food in the world as it hosts pop-up chefs from the city's immigrant community sharing their best dishes.
Flavor Lounge is a global pop up dining experience each Saturday at noon in June. From Venezuelan arepas - corn pockets stuffed with Venezuelan style meat, tuna, cheese, and eggplant to to Somali Shawarma, immigrant entrepreneurs not only serve food but develop business strategies in their culinary careers. The series is part of Nibble, a Somerville Arts Council initiative that offers cooking classes, festivals and tours. PA's Lounge is offering tickets for sale.
Most dishes will be $10 to $15 per person, organizers said. Other events will serve Colombian empanadas and Filipino barbecue.
